In ancient Bharat or India was known as Jambudwip. According to scholars the country name Bharat has come from the king or tribe name Bhrat (ভরত/भरत). We Know that Saraswati was the honourable goddess of Bhrat king. It is considered that Saraswati was named as Bharati according to king's or tribe's name Bhrat, but I think that country name Bharat came from Bharati and the king or tribe name Bhrat came from country name Bharat. The difference may be written as follows:

Let us think the matter in scientific way, The Bharati is the most significant name of Saraswati. The word Bharati may be analysed as follow:
The above stanza tells us the river Bharati would flow in the country Bharat. According to the Rigveda, the river Saraswati became goddess Saraswati for its usefulness and greatness. Again we find three goddesses named Bharati, Saraswati and Ela in the Rigveda, The Three Goddesses were named as TISRO alliedly. The Tisro had been mentioned many times in the Rigveda. The three flows or srots of the three rivers are hidden in the name 'Tisro'. Tisro had been mentioned many times in the Veda for appearing in the worship place. It hints that there was one principal river with two chief tributaries. It is logical that the Saraswati was principal river.

. The Bharati river was left handed tributary of the Saraswati. It was normal that the left sided flow (east side) of combined Tisro was known as Bharati. Again the right sited flow (west side) was known as Saraswati. In simple word it is to say that the combined flows were known by two names as Saraswati and Bharati. Therefore, now we may consider that Saraswati as Bharati and Bharati as Saraswati. It is to say that the west bank-area was known as Saraswat - Kingdom for the name Saraswati river. It is remarkable that the Saraswat - Brahmans are found in this area that is Punjab.
According to researchers the unseen Saraswati would flow through the states Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat. The The origin point was in the Himalayas and the falling point was today's Arabian sea. The Satadru river was right sided and the Yamuna river was left sided of the Saraswati - Bharati. We know that the colour of Yamuna water is blackish and of Saraswati was whitish. The sweet light and sound of Saraswati flows would encourage to creat the Vedas and to sing the composed Vedas. It was normal that the river banks especially the right bank, was called as Bharat and left bank as Saraswat according to river names Bharti and Saraswati. This may be written as follows:
Saraswati - Saraswat - Saraswat
(Name of river) (Name of Kingdom) (Name of Brahmin class)
Bharti - Bharat - Bhrat
(Name of river) (Name of kingdom or Nation) (Name of king or Tribe)
All the above mentioned descriptions and explanations tell us the word Bharati was originated in the first phase. In second phase Bharati created the word Bharat and in the third phase Bharat created the word Bhrat. Here it is to say that the tribe name Puru should be according to the river name Purusani (Ravi).
The Rigveda describes the most significant Battle of ten kings in which the Indo -Aryan King Sudas of Bharat tribe son of Devodas defeated the Ten allied kings in their early expansion toward east to the Yamuna - Gangetic plains. The early kingdom Bharat was situated Saraswati and Yamuna. It is noticeable that the most early Bharat was on the right bank of Bharati. In other words Bharat was born at Bharati's bank. In course of time the kingdom Bharat became great Nation Bharat for the expansion of Bhrat kings, cultural and political unification. Bharat spread throughout the Jambudwip or today's Indian subcontinent. The attached ocean is also called Bharat Mahasagar.
The country name Hindustan or India has come from the river name Sindhu or Indus. Like this the country name Bharat came from the river name Bharati. Geography, History, Culture and Science of language are telling us that Saraswati - Bharati is in the roots of name Bharat.
