In ancient Sanskrit was the link language of Bharat. There are two terms PANCHGUOD and PANCHDRAVID in vogue in India. Panchgoud represent Goud, Sarswat, Kanyakubja, Utkal, Kashmir or Mithila. The boundaries of Goud countries were traced by rivers. Again Panchdravid represents Gurjar, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra and Dravid. The boundaries of panchdravid countries were traced by ocean and rivers. It is remarkable that ocean was factor for Dravid countries. We know, ocean or sea water is a liquid solution of water and salt. The solution is called DRAV in Sanskrit. In this sense we may say ocean as Drav. In easy word, the assemblage of Solution or drav is ocean. Again the Sanskrit word MIL means to meet. Therefore, the boarder of country meets drav was called Dravid. The matter may be written as below :-
Drav + Mil = Dramil
Drav + Mil = Dravil
(1) Dramil ---> Dramid is found in ancient Sanskrit literature - Here ‘L’ has been ‘D’ For example Ela to Eda in Sanskrit.
(2) Dravil ---> Dravid
We have remind that at first the term Dravid was geographical and in course of time it meant to a race or tribe and language.
A question may be arised : why Banga and Sindhu are not called Dravid in spite of ocean boundary ? Here we have to know about the Peninsular India. The southern part of India is peninsular. It we divide physical India between North and South, the Banga and Sindhu will be under North India. Therefore these are not part of peninsular India. In easy words the peninsular India is Draviddesh.
