An inscription on stone written DHILLIKA in Sanskrit in 1169 AD is found in Udaypur of Rajasthan. According to historians Dhillika is today's Dilli. The Aravalli mountain of 692 KM starts itsjourney from Delhi and reaches Kher Brahama via Hariyana and Rarasthan. After passing 16 KM from Delhi the Aravalli divides itself into two parts at the boarder of Delhi and Harayana. The 16 KM of mountain ridge is 5 KM in width. The area of ridge stands 80 square KM. Which creats a separate geographical identification. At present the ridge is known by Delhi Ridge. According to geographers, the ridge is a decreasing and full of small and big stone-piece. According to Mahabharata, Pandavs built Khandaraprasth by burning Khanvav Aranya. A beautiful city Indraprasth was made on Khandavaprastha. The word KHAND is hidden in word KHANDAVA. This khand is stone - piece. In ancient the khandavaranya was full of stone. Stone piece was called (Dhela) Dhela or Dhella in Hindi. A land full of Dhella was called Dhillika. Again in Jodhpur a stone-inscription of 1316 - 1317 is found. The word DILLI is written in the inscription. According to linguists in want of DH alphabet in Parsee language Dhillika becomes Dillika or Dilli.
